nigga moments vs. Civil Rights
Friday, 20 July 2007 @ 09:24 PM
okay, for a few minutes forget about the nonsense with the word! not using the N word won't change people's personal opinions of others or undo the history of it.

and for those who know me, I don't give nobody a pass "just because".

I'm gonna have to borrow "Nigga Moments" from The Boondocks - buy the 1st season DVD, trust me it's worth every cent. :)

now.... soldiers and Iraqis are dying in Iraq while fighting for a cause - supposedly democracy for Iraqi citizens and maybe cheap oil for citizens here who have to decide between food and gas every month.

then, we have folks like Al Sharpton crying about the use of the words "hoe", "nappy" and "nigga", and mind you the words are also used MORE than often in the same community where Sharpton's action network exists. and do you think a millionaireness like Beyonce cares if someone uses the word "hoe" when referring to her?? unless it's the companies that pay her or tell her they are not going to pay her and then throw in a "hoe" or "nigga", I don't think she pays attention to what people say.

meanwhile, while focusing on petty stuff, there has never been a black federal reserve chairman. there has never been a black U.S. president, nor a black CIA or FBI head, or world media, religion or education leader. there have only been 5 - YES FIVE (count them yourself!!!) - black senators in the Senate's hundreds of years of existence, you know the Senate, the actual folks who run this country.

and between all our Ivy League schools that crank out our corporate and political leaders (Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Dartmouth, Rutgers, West Point, Brown, etc.), in all their hundreds of years of existence, only one black university president among them all: Ruth Simmons of Brown University, who was appointed in 2000. pretty sad huh? because if the coveted institutions of higher learning that "brand" our leaders don't recognize blacks as leaders, how in the hell can corporate america or mainstream media? but if you read Deut. 28 the lack of black leaders or concern about the lack of them in key positions makes sense. but, ssssh don't let that secret get out - the "chosen" ones want to keep you confused and in the dark.

so now back to Sharpton. yeah, I understand the Sean Bell incident was a sad situation. but here's where I see a whole other problem. the undercover cops were accused of being drunk (which they weren't). but how drunk was the driver of the car Sean Bell was in, who TWICE rammed an unknown car? the driver and his passenger were having a bachelor party. so I guess they were sitting in the same strip bar holding bibles and preaching about "don't drink and drive"??

and in that same area, if the car of a drug dealer was rammed, the dealer would have executed everyone in the car, and the same folks marching up and down the streets claiming racism (yet one cop was black) wouldn't have said a word, while others in the neighborhood would have respected (and feared) the dealer for "keeping it real" or "gangsta". and some rapper would have wrote a song about it, that would have managed to make its way into the CD or MP3 players of many of the same protesters, including Sharpton's (to, umm, monitor his stock in the music industry). think I'm wrong? well, explain 50 Cents/Cent/whateva, and all the G-Unit outfits and accessories.

but gawd forbid it's cops on the job and afraid because they are undercover, and they don't know if their cover has been blown and if they are about to be killed. what, are cops super humans now who can't react out of fear?? is that only allowed for drug dealers afraid of someone encroaching on their territory?? and are cops now "by the book" programmed entities?

but because shots were fired by on-duty cops, a total of 50 bullets, into a car that was just rammed at same cops who were undercover dealing with organized criminals who ain't the most ethical mofos on the face of the earth, it's all of a sudden, "they are killing us".

oh really? Stack Bundles. which NYPD officer killed him? Jam Master Jay. which NYPD officer killed him (and is this why the case can't be solved)? 3 black kids sitting on their front porch shot and killed in broad daylight in Brooklyn just last month. which NYPD officer killed them? situations in urban areas that require undercover officers? lemme guess...the NYPD created that too. the ride or die chicks who are down for whatever harmful thing their man does to someone, and will protect him to the end (and I know two women like this who claim to be supported by Sharpton). naaaaah, say it ain't so, say it ain't the NYPD too? *holding head down in shame*http://tam-ra.us/workitout/images/smilies/sigh.gif

ok then, drug war shootings that hold a neighborhood hostage with a drug dealer as the respected leader. so that's the NYPD too? baby momma-baby daddy dramas that result in a stabbing or shooting? damn, I guess the NYPD is keeping busy on those too. man, they are every where in urban communities, no wonder they aren't welcome there, their presence just creates problems.http://tam-ra.us/workitout/images/smilies/yeahright.gif and the music or person yelling so loud a person can't hear themself think or someone actually in need of help? yup, I guess it's the cops too, right. didn't realize cops were behind all the urban area "deaths" and household and neighborhood dramas. http://tam-ra.us/workitout/images/smilies/roll.gif

but..... when someone black kills another black person, involved or uninvolved, which happens every day in all urban areas, I don't see mass protests. but I hear a lot of "I ain't no snitch" and encouragement to "not snitch" because it's better to let a murderer be in peace than the person killed,http://tam-ra.us/workitout/images/smilies/wtf.gif and better to think the cop trying to solve the case is a bad guyhttp://tam-ra.us/workitout/images/smilies/huh.gif - good job, Sharpton and Charles Barron. I also AGAIN don't see community leaders in the streets being proactive, but across the country, the number of Mormons on all streets, even the hood, is increasing. and I see my black ass out there bypassing crackheads, drug dealers, girls dressed like tramps, hustlers, and children carrying everything but books and knowledge, with their parents at home cussing out someone for disrespecting them over something petty (their private nigga moment). or parent(s) at a loss trying to responsibly raise a child influenced by the "get paid anyway you can" folks around them, and with no help from community leaders.

recently in one urban area, I saw and heard from 5 floors up about 5 black mothers outside about 1am yelling loudly and threatening others with knives. their kids were either in strollers or arms length away. they argued on and off for several hours. directly near them was a parking garage attendant and a 24-hour street-side food vendor. neither business in the same community was concerned, because if they were, someone besides me would have called for help, at least for the safety of the babies. at one point, all fighting were in the middle of the street blocking oncoming traffic. one mother was being restrained from attacking someone.

is this what Dr. King and Malcolm X tirelessly worked for? I know this isn't Dr. King's dream fulfilled. and I think when Malcolm X stated "by any means necessary" he meant use any means necessary to overcome your oppressors and keep your families safe from open and tax-paying hatred (Jim Crow and public deaths, like Medgar Evers being shot in the back by a little piss ant racist coward who went on to become a respected member in the same community).

I don't think Dr. King or Malcolm X meant kill your neighbor, and keep others in fear. I think Malcolm meant get your own shit together so you won't have to worry about someone who will never think of you as an equal, because he knew integration was not the answer. ironically, during Jim Crow, blacks had more thriving and well maintained neighborhoods because wherever forced to live, it was maintained out of respect for self.

I don't think either Dr. King, Medgar Evers or Malcolm X meant "shake that ass and work that pole to get that money girl" (and I'm not just talking about strippers, but many entertainers). and I don't think either Dr. King or Malcolm X meant Fiddy's version of get rich or die trying. that type of activity self-serves one person, not entire communities. and last time I checked, when I needed advice or a plan, it wasn't from a 50 Cent song.

and I know neither Dr. King nor Malcolm X meant nigga moments that don't even benefits the niggas involved. niggativity is stopping communities from focusing on what is important and who's being left behind, while those who benefitted from Jim Crow continue to make the rules and playing field. and the majority of these Jim Crow benefactors feel "their" tax dollars should not be wasted on reparations for descendants of slavery.

but it was okay during their Jim Crow era migration to the U.S. for our tax dollars to be collected while not being given right to vote, not being allowed equal housing or to even buy property in certain areas, not having fair and equal education, no equal protection under the law, not being allowed to hold public office, and being barred from existing in public places, or worse case, murdered by public officials by means of public lynching or condoning public lynchings. Ross Barnett, a former governor of Mississippi, is one of many public officials. Barnett publicly supported Byron De La Beckwith AFTER De La Beckwith murdered Medgar Evers and Barnett incited a riot over the enrollment of James Meredith at Ol Miss. state property has been named to honor his legacy of hatred.

perfect example of Jim Crow benefactors creating the playing field, Venrock, a Rockefeller family corporation (and funny, when I say Rockefeller, urban kids think Jay-Z), just raised $600 million dollars to invest in others with - federal banking dollars included. ironically, Laurence Rockefeller helped fund the start of Spellman University. but the new Venrock is run by Jim Crow era immigrants, an era that's commonly referred to as the "glory days".

a press release was distributed globally about Venrock's recent "fund raising efforts" (privileged/exclusive golf club meetings, late night private phone calls, strip clubs, yanno, the usual wheeling and dealinghttp://tam-ra.us/workitout/images/smilies/waiting.gif). do you think Venrock will be concerned about investing in urban areas?

The Rockefeller Foundation gives away free grants yearly. are they distributing funds fairly? has Sharpton or Barron contacted either to find out? do they even care? and I know Sharpton's action network is now aware of Venrock (inside story, tell ya later).

Venrock would rather fund a white securities fraud before funding an up and coming black-owned business in an urban area. hell, Venrock already did fund a white securities fraud. Venrock doesn't even want to see black people in either of their offices, unless it's to serve them coffee and snacks, or clean up behind their messes. but keep focusing on nigga moments, maybe it will change that situation!

so I'm sorry Sharpton (and Charles Barron), the backyard now needs to be cleaned up before knocking on the neighbor's door complaining about something that could have been avoided, and served absolutely no purpose to society as a whole. and what should be focused on is ignored continuously. because it's definitely not where we are living, but how we are living given there was much less available in the living days of Dr. King, Medgar Evers, Thurgood Marshall, Malcolm X and many others like them. and right now what I'm seeing is absolutely appalling, to the point where I want to change my race to "unknown", "jumped ship" or "don't include me with them".

and here's another example where I don't see Sharpton or Charles Barron marching the streets over.
